  He did not attend his daughter's wedding in 1861 and therefore is likely but not necessarily deceased by that time. It is theory on my part, that Joannes is an uncle to Catharina Kotulyak. Catharina names a child after him. His son, Joannes marries on the same day in the same church as Catharina in a town where there are only a few persons of that name.
