 General Notes:
He obtained 17 acres in East Haven in Jan. 1703. He was listed as 42 at the time. He apparently received 17 more acres in 1705 when the Villiage sold a half mile of land to help pay for their minister and meeting house. On Feb 25th 1709 he received 9 1/2 acres more. The last record found for him is on Nov. 13, 1727 when he quit claimed his right in land which belonged to his father-in-law, "Father Pinion". (C-435b)
Joseph married Mercy PINION, daughter of Nicholas PINION and Elizabeth UNKNOWN, in 1693 in East Haven, New Haven, CT. (Mercy PINION was born about 1666 and died before 1707.)
Joseph next married Joanna FARNUM after 1706. (Joanna FARNUM was born in 1687 and died on 9/13/1742 in East Haven, New Haven, CT.)
