Will of Joseph Saunders - City of Philadelphia - Merchant - signed 1788 - probate 1792 has estate in PA and VA, daughters Rachel Saunders; Sarah Redwood; Susanna Harthorne; Hannah Lewis; Lydia Coats; Mary Morris, deceased, her children Anthony S. Morris, Joseph Morris, Thomas Morris, sons John Saunders, Executors son John, son in laws William Harthorne of Alexandria VA, Thomas Morris, Mordecai Lewis and Samuel Coats and William Redwood of Philly.

Codicil- signed 1790 - Sarah Redwood is deceased, leaves to her son William Redwood, her only child age 12; Lydia Coats also deceased, she left four children but he doesn't name them.

His will was probated in Jan. of 1792 in Philadelphia, PA, but appears also to have entered the probate records of Fairfax Co., VA in July of 1793 indicating that he lived the end of his life in Virginia instead of Philadelphia. ²
