  General Notes:

James is a probable son of Bartholomew Gaskins of Rio Grande, Ohio In the 1830 census, he is living in Raccoon Twp., Gallia Co., OH, pg. 141, and he and his wife are between ages 20 and 30, with a son under age 5 and two daughters under 5 and one daughter between 5 and 10. (CL-495, 498, 499) His wife's name is theorized to be Nancy Evans, although she could have married his likely cousin James, instead.
