Joseph was named in the will of his cousin, Peter Reeve, merchant, in Philadephia in 1799. (E) He was a seaman and left many letters that he wrote to his father which are still in existence today in the Philadelphia Historical Society. They include descriptions of the hardships at sea as well the sinking of the brigg "Kaderbox".
Joseph married Sarah ROBINSON on Jun 21, 1809. (Sarah ROBINSON died after 1812 of Charles Town, , SC.)
