James was listed as coming of age in his father's estate papers as on "Dec. 28, 1811." I have calculated his birth date from that figuring that "of age" meant age 21. If it is something other, than his birth year needs corrected. (C-2066)

He is likely the James with son William & Hannah of Newberry District, SC who married Jane Baldwin on Dec 12, 1822. (C-95) If so, he removed to Springfield MM on Oct 5, 1826. On 4/6/ 1854, he and his family, wife Jane, daughters Sarah, Ann, Charity & Elizabeth got a certificate to New Garden MM, in Columbiana Co., Ohio
