Benjamin was mayor of Philadelphia three sessions in 1743, 1753 and 1761 and obviously a prominent citizen. He wrote his will on Oct 1, 1765 and it was probated on Jul 6, 1767. Since his wife's name is Elizabeth in his will, it appears that he married after his first wife died. (Will book O: p. 134) (C-2157)
