Joseph moved to SC with two young sons, as a widower, sometime before June of 1768. He and his brother Isaac are in the 1779 Bush River Monthly Meeting minutes. He might be the Joseph Hollingsworth in Hinshaw's Quaker encyclopedia that got a certificate to Cane Creek MM on 7/6/1784 from Wrightsborough Monthly Meeting in South Carolina. (C-95, 1991) Joseph married Unknown FROST in 1761. Joseph next married Margaret WRIGHT, daughter of John (C.?) WRIGHT and Rachel WELLS, on Jun 4, 1768 in Bush River M.M., SC, USA.1 (Margaret WRIGHT was born on Nov 12, 1742 in , Prince George, MD, USA 5 and died on Nov 13, 1822 in , , SC, USA 6.) |
