  General Notes:

Thomas Coates is listed as a Carpenter in his will written in 1773. In it's transcription available at www.ancestry.com, it says he names brothers Joseph, Langdale and Samuel Coates. I think this is probably a misinterpretation of the original naming Josiah Langdale as his brother, but that needs checked. (E)

He is one of a few Thomas's of this time period, one of which got a patent for a lot in Philadelphia in 1767. (PA Land Patent Index)
