He supposedly died in infancy. (C-2041) He is listed as the first Josiah Langdale in many sources. He is listed simply as Langdale when his birth date is listed in Hinshaw. Two persons who are descendants of a Henry (L.) Coats married to a Susannah Elliot in Rowan Co., NC, believe that their Henry L. is this Langdale, the son of Samuel and Mary Langdale Coats, but I personally have not seen enought evidence yet to support this.
