Their cabin was the first to be built in what later became Butler Twp., Montgomery Co., Ohio They were led to Ohio by John's soon to be father-in-law, David Mast in a group of 64 families to what was all Indian territory at the time. 1 John married Obedience "Bidy" MAST, daughter of Captain David MAST and Nancy WORRELL, about 1802.1 (Obedience "Bidy" MAST was born on 11/11/1779 in , Randolph, NC, USA, died on 8/3/1847 and was buried about 8/4/1847 in Polk Grove Cem., Montgomery, OH 1.) |
