James DIMMOCK

   Another name for James was James DIMOCK.

  General Notes:

It is theory on my part that this James and Sarah Dimmock are the parents of my Benjamin. The children listed for them come from the 1841 and 1851 census for Rowling Regis Civil Parish, Staffordshire, England. He is the only Dimmock I have been able to find that has a son named Benjamin of the correct age. James was born in Staffordshire, England according to the 1841 census and in Dudley, Worcestershire, England according to the 1851 census. He was a coal miner by trade. Several of the siblings names match names that I had previously suspected were siblings to Benjamin as the naming patterns were passed down. We also know that Benjamin's likely father was James from the one marriage record that matches Benjamin's wife's name in the right time and place.

There is a John Dimmack born in 1824 in Dudley, Worcestershire, England that might be a son of this James who was having children in 1824 in Dudley. In that same town, a Mary Ann Dimmack married in 1848 who could be a daughter of this James also. (C-2580)
