James DIMMOCK
It is theory on my part that this James and Sarah Dimmock are the parents of my Benjamin. The children listed for them come from the 1841 and 1851 census for Rowling Regis Civil Parish, Staffordshire, England. He is the only Dimmock I have been able to find that has a son named Benjamin of the correct age. James was born in Staffordshire, England according to the 1841 census and in Dudley, Worcestershire, England according to the 1851 census. He was a coal miner by trade. Several of the siblings names match names that I had previously suspected were siblings to Benjamin as the naming patterns were passed down. We also know that Benjamin's likely father was James from the one marriage record that matches Benjamin's wife's name in the right time and place. James married Sarah UNKNOWN. (Sarah UNKNOWN was born about 1806 in Rowley, Staffordshire, ENG 1 and died after 1851 of Rowley Regis, Staffordshire, ENG 1.) James next married. |
