This might be the Hannah Coate who died on Nov. 28, 1816 recorded in the Bush River Baptist Church Records, in Newberry Co., South Carolina. Hannah is a rare name in the Coate line. However, it's more likely that she is deceased before 1798 in Chester Co., PA as there is a marriage record for a Rebecca, (d. of Isaac Coate) in 1798 in the Deer Creek MM, Chester Co., PA records to a John Carter where her mother is not listed as a witness. 5
Hannah married Isaac COATES, son of Samuel COATES and Elizabeth MENDENHALL, in 1773. (Isaac COATES was born on 2/1/1748 in , Chester, PA,6 7 died on 4/3/1809 and was buried about 4/5/1809 in East Caln Friends Burial Ground, Chester, PA 7.)
