  General Notes:

According to Odessa Collins, Elizabeth married James C. Smyley instead of her sister. This would not be correct according to her father's will. However, I do highly suspect that this Elizabeth was married to the Thomas Hart who was given $737.00 in James's will as all the other gifts of money went to siblings or their spouses in the will. Elizabeth was the only daughter that was not given a monetary gift. The daughters were all supposedly given land, but I suspect that in the administration the brothers bought the land and paid their sisters or their spouses in the transaction.

A Mathis family tree has Elizabeth's spouse as Simeon Mathis. They had a daughter named Sarah born in 1820. (E) ³
