The following info was provided by Patti Sue McCrary: James sold his share of land that he inherited from his father in 1765 to brother Richard, signed with a mark, wife Sarah Ann signed her name - Frederick Co VA. A later deed indicates he moved to Newberry Co SC and died prior to 1 Apr 1791 - Berkeley Co WV. A suit involving the legacies of Wm Hall supports this - Munford "VA Reports ... Cases ... Determined in the Supreme Court of Appeals of VA".
James married Sarah DUNCAN.
