Mary (Polly) THARP 1 2 3 4 5 6
Mary is listed as Mary in the 1850 and 1860 census and Polly on her gravestone. As Polly was a nickname for many women's names including Mary, I am assuming that her original name was Mary. It was common for the Tharp line to name their daughters Mary and call them Polly. (CL-308) Mary married James GLENN, son of William GLENN and Ann CURRY, on 10/31/1811 in Huntington Twp, Gallia, OH, USA. (James GLENN was born on 3/4/1792 in , Augusta, VA, died on 1/11/1886 in Huntington Twp, Gallia, OH, USA and was buried about 1/14/1886 in Glenn Cemetery, Vinton, Gallia, OH, USA 9.) |
