Susan BROCK? 1 2 3 4
John's wife's name is very much theory, based upon original conjecture by Mary Helen Pemberton. She is the one who surmised that the wife's name was Susan Brock , d. of Elias Brock and Ann Hollingsworth. However, no researcher since has been able to even co-oberate that Elias and Ann Brock had a daughter named Susan. We suspect that her first name was accurate, as multiple grandchildren were named Susan. We cannot find John Sr or his wife anywhere after the 1830 Census. Right now, because of this, we are speculating that before the next census was taken, they died or moved. 6 Susan married John M. COATS, son of Unknown COATE and Unknown, after 1788. (John M. COATS was born before 1775 in Bush River M.M., Newberry, SC, USA and died in 1830-1835 of Newberry Twp., Miami, OH.) |
