James Satterfield received 50 acres of land from William Jay on Mar. 9, 1756, the same day he was deeded it. It is thought that this James might also have been married to another daughter of William Jays. His brother John, was married to William's daughter, Sarah Jay, and also received 50 acres on Mar. 9, 1756. (C-1271)
