According to DJ Rowe, "Wright's wife, Mary Gaunt, remarried after his death and moved to Tuscaloosa Co., AL and then to TN. " Her second marriage is implied in an 1811/1812 deed where the freed slave of Big John Coate named Jesse Coate is purchasing land in a trust fund kind of fashion that must have been required at the time for an ex-slave in Newberry Co., South Carolina. Her second husband, Thomas Gilbert was married to her sister previous to their marriage. (C-2189E)
