  General Notes:

Walter was born after his father died. He went to Girard College in Philadelphia, PA at age 16 and he was 18 or slightly older when his mother died. He might be the Walter Link, age 22, in the 1920 census for the Assembly District, Manhatten, New York, New York as a dock laborer. If so, he had a first wife we didn't know about named Blanche, age 23, born Ohio. What doesn't agree here, is that he states he was born in New York. Since he married Mabel in 1921, it's highly unlikely that this census matches our Walter Link. ⁶
