This might be the James who married Isabell Brunskill of London in 1623/28. If so, he also had a brother Thomas. His father, Thomas, was the son of Roger Fort of Curry Rivell who married a daughter of Bacon. James appears to have had 5 daughters only, Elizabeth, Eleanor, Frances, Jane, and Margaret. (F-472)

In Curry Rivel's Bishops records, there is a Jacob Forte, Gent. c., who had a daughter Margaret who was probably baptized on Aug. 18, 1629 that could refer to the same family mentioned above. (F-472)

He might be the Jacobus Forte that was buried on 16 NOV 1666 in Curry Rivel Parish also. 2
