He was of unknown age at the time. He was the son of John Jay and was the executor of his father's will in 1677. (C-816) This Joseph might be the Joseph who witnessed a will in 1684 and 1686 in Barbados. He might even be the father instead of uncle of the Joseph Jay b. ca 1680 in NJ.
