Major Thomas Davis, Esq. was a planter by trade in Warwicksqueick, VA. According to a Baten Genealogy, he was listed as a merchant in the year 1639. He was named Major of Nansemond County in 1648, a Burgess for Warwick in 1655/1666 and a Member of the General Assembly. (C-956)
