The surname Curry means "marsh" or "boat" and first applied to Scotchman who lived in a place of that name in the Marsh at Midlothian, Scotland. (CL-391)

The birthdates and birth order for his children literally are not consistent in the sources I've seen and could be completely wrong.

The following record from Chalkley probably applies to this William or his son William Curry of Augusta Co., VA. 1748-49, March 10th--William Curry, 200, near John Young, Thos. Waterson, Naked Creek (c. g. e. p.).

William married Sarah YOUNG, daughter of Dr. John YOUNG and Annie HOUSTON, before 1717. (Sarah YOUNG was born in 1695 in , Antrim, IRE and died after 1748.)
