  General Notes:

IGI files give a couple other possible parents for a William Cornwall. William chr. 20 Nov 1577, Morval, Cornwall, ENG, son of John or chr. 24 Jul 1575, Heveningham, Suffolk, ENG, son of Gabriell Cornewall. (F-371, F-376) Savage's book has a better reputation for accuracy than any time matches in I.G.I. and so I've chosen the line as is. I do not know the children or spouses of either of these I.G.I. listings.

He is also listed with only one spouse in the Terling, England Parish records: Joan Martyn when they married on Nov. 23, 1602 and two children, William and Thomas Cornwell. The sources for their children are not of substance. (F-639)

Gale Cornwell also wrote that his death date was abt. 1636 instead. (F-669)

CD-100 disagrees and says that the wife of William and mother to William Jr, born 1609 was Joana Martyn of Terling, ENG.

William next married Joan MARTYN on Nov 23, 1602 in Terling, Essex, ENG.¹ (Joan MARTYN was born on Jul 28, 1566 ⁸.)
