Though not likely, he could belong to the following Ellis Island record if he was married to another woman before he married Anna: Gyorgy Volcsik from Hungary, arrived at Ellis on Aug. 15, 1895, age 35 years, married, on the Spree from Bremen, Germany. He would be from the right place and time to be this George. (D-202) According to his wife's 103rd birthday newspaper article in the Times Herald, his wife, Anna, was 37 at the time of his death with 7 children to raise alone, suggesting that he died around 1923. More likely, I believe him to be the George Vovcsik who registered for World War I. He was born in 1890 in Nevichke, Hungary where his father lived. If this is this George, he worked in a bar and lived at 39 Allen St., New York, New York. Max Obstrovsky was his employer at the Bar and Grille at 90 Bowery (St.) in New York.
There is a George J. Vosick that died in Coudersport, PA on Dec. 1, 1989, husband to Rose W. BOZYCZKA who died there in 1998 who is a likely son of George and Anna Vosick. His birthdate is given as April 11, 1916 according to SSDI records. They have 3 living children of unknown names who might know something about their ancestry.
I also believe that the Michael T. Vosick that was born on Aug. 11, 1914 according to SSDI records was a son of this George and Anna. I state this because he died at age 90 in Coudersport, PA on Jan. 15, 2005. There is a Michael J. Vosick currently living in Coudersport, PA that could be a son of George J. or Michael T. Vosick. 3 4
