In the 1910 census, he and his wife Ellen lived in Marion Twp., Franklin Co., Ohio with their five youngest children. He was listed as a teamster. He and his 2nd wife lived in Raccoon Twp., Gallia Co., Ohio in the 1920 census. He was 10 years older than his second wife, Barbara. He is remembered by my mother as a small, sweet man who loved my mother and her sister's sticky candy, fudge cooked to a sticky state. John next married Ellen JINKS on 4/6/1880 in , Gallia, OH, USA. (Ellen JINKS was born in 1864 in , Miami, OH, USA.)
