This Robert Curry is possibly the Robert who achieved the rank of Captain on Apr. 23, 1759. He returned with the troops he raised in June 1759 to his PA Regt. of 3 Battalions. There are Robert Curry's of lower rank in Pennsylvania in 1777 (Quarter Master), Ensign & Sargent in 1799 that might be some of his descendents. (CL-262)
He is also sometimes listed with a son Robert who is often confused with Dr. Robert Curry of Augusta Co., VA. (CL-470) According to Billey Steeley, Robert Curry's parents were William and Margaret Curry instead. (E)
The dates for this family are very inconstant. I've seen his birth date listed as 1706 and his marriage date to Jane Seawright as 1782, with her birth date as 1752. I've seen their son's births estimated in the 1730's before their mother's birth. There are obviously mistakes in this lineage.
This Robert Curry and his possible brother Nicholas that also married a Seawright, both changed the spelling of their names to Corry. Robert and Jane moved to Greene Co, Georgia and Nicoals and Sarah Curry moved to Uinion Co., South Carolina. (CL-391)
