  General Notes:

He owned a restaurant in Erie, Pennsylvania (D-10) He applied to become a U.S. Citizen on Aug. 19, 1897 in McKean Co., Pennsylvania. He stated that he migrated from Austria and arrived at Philadelphia on or about the 2nd day of December, 1893. (McKean Co., PA Alien Dockets, pg. 253, D-94.) It is unlikely that his surname was spelled as Wojcik by himself as that spelling appears to almost always be someone from Poland.

John married Julia PATRICK before 1896. (Julia PATRICK was born about 1874 and died before 1982.)

The year of their marriage is probably before the year in which Julia is probably the aunt bringing her niece, Mary, back to America with her to be with her parents.
