This Alice Coate made her will in Bridgewater in 1562. I am theorizing that she is the mother of our Marmaduke Coate because of timing and place. I do not believe the will is in existence as most wills of Somerset were destroyed in the bombings of World War II. Her name was spelled Alice Cotte in this record. There are only a few Coates/Cottes living in Bridgewater at the time making it extremely likely they are all related.
Alice married COTTE [MRIN: 6146], son of COTTE and Elizabeth , before 1550. (COTTE was born before 1533.)
