George worked at Case Cutlery in Bradford, PA when he met and married his first wife, Gladys Gilbert. They had one surviving daughter, Shirley Augustine. They divorced and he remarried Marion Hicks in 1948. After her death in 1960 he married Dorothy Gould also of Olean, N.Y. (1965). They were divorced in 1980. He lived in Olean, N.Y. for the last 46 years of his life. He was a retired auto mechanic and radio repairman, as well as a retired master sergeant in the National Guard. During World War II he served in the Army Air Corps. He died Nov. 6, 1982 in Olean General Hospital. (D-74)
