When Esther has her estate administered in 1742, a Samuel is the executor. This Samuel couldn't be her son who was still a child, or her brother-in-law that seems to have died in 1736, but to an older Samuel who has yet to be placed into this family.

Esther married John COATE Sr., son of Samuel COATE and Mary SAUNDERS, on 3/4/1727 in Amwell Twp., Hunterdon, NJ, USA.¹ (John COATE Sr. was born on 5/8/1699 in , Bucks, PA ^{1 8} and died before 9/1751 in Kingwood Twp., Hunterdon Co, NJ, USA.)

  Marriage Notes:

They received their marriage license on July 22, 1727 in N.J. The presented a certificate to Buckingham MM, Bucks Co., PA. on 1723, 8mo(Oct) 2. (Or should that be 1728?) (C253c) They are listed in the New Jersey Archives, Vol. XXII as being married on July 22, 1729 instead.
