| Anne BOLEYN
(1507-1536) |
Anne BOLEYN 1
She was King Henry VIII's mistress while he was married to his first wife, Catherine of Aragon. When she became pregnant, King Henry broke from the Roman Catholic Church to divorce Catherine and marry Anne. Of course, she was the mother of Elizabeth (future queen of England), instead of the mother of the son King Henry wanted. This and her previous indescretions at the mistress of Thomas Dereham, and Henry Mannock, her piano teacher caused her to be the first wife of Henry VIII to be beheaded. 1 Anne married Henry VIII King of England, son of Henry VII King of England and Elizabeth PLANTAGENET of York. (Henry VIII King of England was born in 1491 and died in 1547.) |
