Orin Coats married in 1826 in Rowan Co., North Carolina. He is in the 1830 Census in Lawrence County, Illinois living near his brother Benjamin. Benjamin married in 1828 in Illinois, so it's likely that this family migrated to Illinois about 1827. By 1860, Orrin is in the Carroll County, Illinois, Woodland Township Census along with his brother, Abner. ^{1 2}
