bullet  General Notes:

He is likely the John Duvall who had a subscription to the "Christian Advocate and Journal, Zion's Herald" 1829-1831. His post office address was Darnestown, Montgomery Co., Maryland at the time. This was a Methodist paper.

He is probably the John Duval who leaves the following will, or a transcription thereof: "Grandchildren: John G., Cecilius B., William F., Joseph J., Summerville, Louisa R., Valier Duvall (youngest of 4 grandsons under age 21) - all real estate. Son" Grafton Duvall, his wife Harriet and their children (named above), Ex: Nephew John S. Duvall, son of testator's dec'd brother Hammon Duvall, Wit: William Burns, Edward Woodfiled, Lyde Griffith." 4
