His full title was Lord of the Manor of Cotes Wilbrighton, Buffrcote, and Woodcote. He was also the High Sheriff of county Stafford in 35 Henry VI (1457). In his will, he asked to be buried in the chapel of St. Mary in the monastery of Lilleshall near Newport. He requested an albaster stone with figures of himself, his wife and his arms be erected at the cathedral of Lichfield and Coventry. His will listed his cousins, Thomas Knightly and Humphrey Swinnerton. 2
