bullet  General Notes:

Rebecca after she was married witnessed her sister, Marther Coppock Tomlinson's Quaker marriage in 1771. Rebecca is the Rebecka Evans living next to Gentleman John (John Sr.) Coates in the 1790 Newberry, SC index. She had 2 males above age 16, 1 male under age 16 and 4 females in her family. Her husband was obviously deceased as she was listed as the head of household. I know this to be her, because her husband, Robert Evan's land, adjoined Gentleman John's land in 1771. She is the only Rebeckah Evans listed in the 1790 census in that region. (C-1906) 9
