  • Notes
    • She was given custody of her niece, Mary Pondder, in a court for Kent Island, Maryland in about 1706. Candee Varville found Ann Bright's will who married a Griffith and Price. It was under her name Ann Price when she passed. It named her children by these 2 marriages. She also names Wm Gilgore who would be her nephew in this will. Maybe she raised him after Cicely died in 1717. Ann was wealthy based on her will.

Ann had a daughter named Mary whose married name of Winchester was listed in Ann's will dated 1735. We therefore, do not currently know which of Ann's husbands she was a daughter of. Ann also bequeths money to Isaac Winchester her grandson and to Samuel Griffith, grandson who was not yet 15. The later was to receive the money when he turned 15. She named Mary Ann, d. of Samuel in her will. She gave Jacob Winchester and John Elliot 15 shillings each to buy mourning rings without stating the latter's relationshipAnn Evans Price was of considerable wealth when she wrote her will. She also included Elizabeth Woolahand in her will with no description of relationship. She also gives William Gilgore without a relationship listed, one small heifer. He was her likely nephew. She names "my five children" at the end of her will as Mary, John, Matthew, Benjamin (Griffith) and Andrew (Price). She doesn't name Samuel as one her children, but does in the body of the will. Therefore, it could suggest that Samuel was a child of Matthew Griffith (her past husband) by a previous wife.
