    • He brought a group of people from Berne Switzerland to Sugar Creek Township, Wayne Co., Ohio where they establised a Swiss Mennonite called Sonnenberg in 1819. His wife, five daughters and one son were amongst the group. Another daughter and son were born here. Peter along with many of his friends requested naturalization papers on Oct. 19, 1835 according to Wayne Co., Ohio naturalization records dated Oc. 27, 1837. They are listed from Canton Berne (Switzerland) in this record.
