    • He and his parents moved from Anne Arundel Co., Maryland to what is now Montgomery Co., Maryland before 1748. He was a Private in Captain Thomas Sappington's Co. during the French and Indian Wars in that year. He and his wife, Elizabeth, were heirs in the estate of her father, William Ridgely in 1755 of Anne Arundel Co., MD. He purchased "Hartley's Lot" of 600 acres on Apr 2, 1755 and "No Matter What" of 387 acres on Jun 8, 1764, both in Frederick Co., MD. On May 14, 1760, he and his wife gave his mother-in-law a piece of property called "Resurvey on Hartley's Lott". He was a private in the Revolutionary War in the "Middle Battalion of Montgomery Co., MD. He died in 1783 leaving a will dated Sep. 29, 1783 that was proved on Nov. 3rd of that year. His will named brother, Lewis Duvall, Daughter, Rachel Musgrove, Sons, Levin, Zadock, Frederick, Aquilla, Eleanor, Elizabeth, William, Claudia, and Aquilla. His executor was his brother, Lewis. Witnesses were Henry Griffith, Jr., Ann PUrdis, and Ann Russell.
